Our sweets and desserts Thursday is on how to make a quality doughnuts with glaze!!!Doughnut is a very nice dessert you simply can't resist. Follow this quick and easy steps to make your homemade doughnut to your own taste. Ingredients: Flour 1kg Unsalted butter 150g Yeast  4 tablespoons Milk powder flavour 250g Bread improver 20g Sugar 150g  Eggs 2 Salt 1/2 teaspoon  1 quart (1 litre) vegetable oil for frying For glaze: ⅓ cup butter 2 cups confectioner's sugar 1½ teaspoons vanilla 4 tablespoons hot water or as needed STEP1. Firstly, Mix the yeast with warm water together in a bowl, because the yeast needs warm water to activate; it will help the doughnut dough rise and fluffy.  STEP2. Mix yeast mixture, milk powder flavour, sugar, salt, eggs, butter, improver and add flour in a mixer on a low speed. You can also use a wooden spoon as alternative and mix by hand. STEP3. Hmmm yummy!!! It's here again, Our sweets and dessert Thursday is on vanilla flavoured cake pudding, it is a classic comfort dessert and easy to make. It’s best to serve it hot or warm and  you can also serve with a sauce which procedure is below as you scroll down or melted chocolate drizzled gently on the cake pudding and also fresh or frozen berries Ingredients: SAUCE: 1 1/2 cup (375ml) Milk 1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar 2 tsp  cornstarch 1/2 tsp vanilla CAKE PUDDING: 300g Flour 250g Granulated sugar Levelled tspn Baking powder Salt 4 Eggs 50g Milk 200 Butter  1 1/2 tspn Vanilla flavour PREPARATION: STEP1. PROTECTION AGAINST LASSA FEVER

  Lassa fever is a viral hemorrhagic fever caused by a RNA virus of the arenaviridae virus family first described in 1969 in the town of Lassa in borno state. It is caused by an infection with the Lassa virus which is spread by rat (mastomys rat) that lives in large numbers in Africa, due to poor hygiene, especially in poverty ridden areas alongside its devastating effect. There has been record of numerous outbreak as well as death toll in different states in West Africa.  After series of outbreak in major states in Nigeria, including the major cities which are Lagos State, Abuja FCT, Oyo State, Kano State, etc, it has now become imperative to guide against this deadly disease.    The ministry of health has taken a wave of public awareness of control practices and good infection protection to prevent increase in outbreak of this infectious disease especially in areas where there are more casualties. They advise that the general public should avoid contact between rats

Lassa fever (rat eaters pls beware)

BRIEFLY ON LASSA FEVER: Lassa fever is an acute viral infection found in the tropics, especially in West Africa. Lassa fever is caused by a single-stranded RNA virus that is animal borne (zoonotic). Lassa fever can cause a potentially fatal illness, is highly contagious, and can rapidly spread. The reservoir, or host, of the Lassa virus is a rodent known as the 'multimammate rat.' People can become infected by eating this infected rat or by eating food contaminated by the rat's excretions. Moi moi (bean pudding) dessert Tuesday!!!

Moi moi is a Nigerian steamed bean pudding (dessert) made from a mixture of washed and peeled beans, onions and fresh ground peppers (scotch bonnet). It is a protein-rich food mostly consumed all over the country. It originated from South-West Nigeria, it is often called "moi moi elemi meje", which translates to Moi Moi with 7 lives. Moi Moi usually comes in a slanted pyramid shape or a cylindrical shape, owing to the mold it is poured into prior to cooking. Couscous Algeria!!! (African cuisine)

                               Couscous Algeria!!! (New year special)  Couscous Algeria is an african dish mostly eaten in Algeria, morocco and even Tunisia in Northern part of Africa, it is very nutritious and I hope you try it at home. Below are ingredients:  >chicken  >sausage  >garlic  >Ginger  > 2 stock cubes  >salt to taste  >carrots  >Irish potato  >green pepper  >vegetable oil >tomato (fresh)  >thyme  >bay leave  >spring onions  >black or white pepper  >tomato purée  Preparation: Step 1.
