Couscous Algeria!!! (New year special)
Couscous Algeria is an african dish mostly eaten in Algeria, morocco and even Tunisia in Northern part of Africa, it is very nutritious and I hope you try it at home. Below are ingredients:
>chicken
>sausage
>garlic
>Ginger
> 2 stock cubes
>salt to taste
>carrots
>Irish potato
>green pepper
>vegetable oil
>tomato (fresh)
>thyme
>bay leave
>spring onions
>black or white pepper
>tomato purée
Preparation:
Step 1. Marinade the chicken with black or white pepper.
Step 2. Get a clean bowl and pour some couscous, add stock cube (as required ), vegetable oil, add chopped carrots and green beans and stir gently.
Step 3. Pour couscous in a pot and pour hot water, cover it for few mins.
Step 4. Now fry the marinade chicken
For the sauce:
Step 5. Add veg oil in pot, pour onions and tomato paste or purée
Step 6. Blend tomato, onions and pour into the pot
Step 7. Add fried chicken, bay leaf, and thyme.
Step 8. Chop fresh, carrots, onions, sausage, cabbage and little stock(water), then allow to cook for some mins. Note: sauce must not b thick.
Step 9. You can now serve and garnish couscous.
