Carrot “daucus carota” is a valuable kind of edible root vegetable with essential health benefits and basic nutrients necessary for a balanced diet with healthy body development”. Carrot is one of the most popular and versatile vegetable in the world eaten either raw, cooked or juiced. it is also known for its signature color “orange” and sweet taste. 


Benefits of eating carrot includes:
Carrot provide ample amounts of vitamins such as vitamin C, D, E, K, dietary fiber as well as minerals including magnesium and potassium needed in promoting oral health including the body’s ability to fight bacteria and toxins that enter through the mouth and live in the gum. Also it helps in preventing tooth decay, eye blindness and restoring of vision. 

It boosts skin health preventing skin blemishes and improve wound healing due to the high beta carotene content especially when cooked. It boosts their nutritional content level, increasing ability for wounds to heal faster as well as fight bacterial infections. It improves the skin, flesh and muscles. 

Nutritionists advise that adding this vegetable to our daily diet reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases (heart diseases) even cancer prevention. To smokers, it is said that it lowers their risk of lung cancer. Its juice could kill leukemia cells and inhibit their progression. 

For children, it boosts their mental capacity, brain health and memory improvement as well as cholesterol leveling benefits. It also helps in controlling heart rate and blood pressure. 

During pregnancy, carrot juice help prevents birth defects in babies, cleansing the liver, keeping the cell membrane healthy by fighting against infections. It helps Improve the baby inside. It also adds quality to a woman breast milk. 

Carrot contains vitamin A needed for production of sex hormones, sperm production and virility. for women, its aid responsiveness and ability to carry fetus. 

It also helps in giving sexual desire. It is by this means necessary to include carrot in our diet as daily consumption.
