Several nutritional facts have evolved around dates fruits ever since the discovery of this edible fruit (phoenix dactylifera). which is said to originate from lands around Iraq. This fruits is also known called dabino in some part in West Africa. One would be amazed at the number of nutritional benefits this dates fruit offers including to children which can't be overemphazied.
People consume dates in several ways such as mixing the paste with milk, yougourt, butter to make it more delicious which is helpful to both children and adult. Among children it helps in fast healing of ingury and healthy body.
   It is said that taking a date per day will help maintain your eye sight all the days of your life, promote longevity, gives immuity against heart diseases. It also help guard against night blindness.
Dates are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber, calcium, iron, potassium and several other nutrients, beneficial to health and energy giving. It also aids constipation( soak the dates overnight in water, eat in the morning for maximum result).
In traditional Arab medicines, dates are used to enhance fertility in both men and women.
It serves as a corrective aid for reproductive organ. It is also liver nourishing.
It helps in muscle development, healthy bones and strength, fighting painful and debilating diseases like oesteoponosis. And also health condition like Anemia.
It promotes sperm quality and quantity. This fruit is best used for male infertility.
It is now acceptable that dates are used in preventing abnominal cancer. It potassium content also protect the nervous system.
 Many Muslims break their fast by eating dates and water according to their cultural traditions. It helps pacify their taste of hunger before breaking their fast. Its healthy for after fast to.
Dates are used for gaining weight.
It increases the size of testes in men and size of breast in women.
Dates are also cure for cough, asthma, tuberculosis, flu, cold, chest complain, e.t.c and are also useful for treatment of water retention, oedema, strangury, yeast infection and other related diseases.
It reduces the risk of heart attack by lowering the level of cholesterol in the body.
Its is advised that diabetes patient stay away from this fruit due to it high suger content.
   Finally, dates are most importantly good for pregnant women. It eases labour pain, and aid child birth by preventing birth defects which may damage the brain or spinal cord of the newborn. It helps maintain health weight for the pregnant mother and enhances the health of the newborn.
It helps in formation of teeth and bones and also maintain blood sugar levels.
